Review: Mending Michael by J.P. Grider

There is a fine line between love and hate.

When bartender Mick Ross first sees Holly Buchanan walk into Donny's Bar, his heart comes to a halt. That is, until she serves him her fake ID and reveals her true nature when she's declined her drink.

Holly thinks Mick is an ass, and she has no clue why he can't stand her. Though, she does enjoy looking at his ass.

So, when Donny hires Holly to waitress at his bar, she must either deal with Mick's hatred toward her or give him a taste of his own medicine.

Tensions are high.
Comments are made.
Hearts are hurt.
But if there really is a fine line between love and hate, then Mick and Holly must decide on which side they stand.

Mending Michael was the second book in the Hunter Hill University Series.  Although this is a part of a series it can be read as a standalone but you don't want to miss out on the first book Calling California which was Griffin and Cali's story.  I would give this book a 4 stars and most definitely recommend to others.  I love college romances and this one definitely was that but so much more.  This book is Mick and Holly's story.

Holly is the quintessential rich kid who gets everything she wants... but even though she has the lap of luxury there are burdens and consequences when daddy pays for everything.. like you have to go to college and make a career in the field he chooses no questions asked.  This will weight heavily on Holly and she finds herself reaching out to be more independent and her first move is getting a job. She has never had a job as is determined to make it work even though the man the she loathes on many levels is the head bartender... Michael... she doesn't know him well just things that have happened over the 3 years she has been coming to this bar but none of those incidents were good and it has always left a sour taste in her mouth... but her views and even her body will start to change towards him..... but can she get him to stop hating her??

Michael AKA Mick has led a very hard life with a drunk for a mother and now his sister is leading in her mothers footsteps but the only difference is she has a daughter and Michael has to step in when his sister goes down hill fast.  He will have to change his life quite a bit to accommodate his new status and find new living arrangements.  His life is complicated and he doesn't need anymore complications but when Holly the girl he secretly has lusted after and loathed comes crashing into his life will he be able to finally see the true person she is and not the rich girl???

These 2 will find themselves thrown into each others lives and have to find a way to make it work.. but when feelings start to get involved will they see it through or is there just to much drama in both of their lives to take that leap???

Go pick up this book I promise you won't be disappointed!  Thanks for another great read and looking forward to sooooo much more in the future!
