Kyle Tripper has led an interesting life. Currently the manager of London's famous Club Delish, he used to be a croupier extraordinaire in Las Vegas. But not everything in that life was so glamorous; his ex was a piece of work. Now gun-shy, Kyle hopes there is someone special out there for him, and secretly wishes it's luscious paramedic, Eric Kirby.

WITH CARE

Every day Eric Kirby goes through the motions. Yeah, he saves lives, and, sure, he makes a difference, but he doesn't feel it anymore - not since he lost his one true. But, when he meets wild, flamboyant Kyle Tripper and learns there's a skittish, apprehensive man beneath the bold façade, the best of Eric's protective nature kicks in and opens his heart to a new love.

This is the first book I've read by Susan Mac Nicol, and I'm hooked. Survival Game will twist your insides and feeling a whole gambit of emotions. Kyle's life hasn't exactly been easy and he is scared of being hurt again, but he still longs for love. Eric is learning there is more to Kyle than he realized and he likes the hidden Kyle. Eric just wants to protect him, to love him, and Kyle wants to be loved and safe. Can they find what they are looking for in each other?

This is book #9 of the series, but like I said, I haven't read any of her other books and I was able to easily read it without any issues. It can be read as a standalone. The characters were complex and multi-faceted. The story is well-written and isn't just a simple love story. There is so much more to it. It's the layers that make it interesting and keeps you enthralled. 4.5 stars. I highly recommend you one click this today.
